Rooms with a personal touch

Kungsgården Långvind has six hotel rooms and four hostel rooms – all with high standards and a personal touch – with a total of 23 beds. The rooms are named afte neighbors in the old ironworks. Rooms are locates in Kungsgården (four), Österhuset (five) and Telestation Långvind (one). We present the rooms, house by house.

Kvarndammen (“Millpond”)
is a room on the upper floor in Kungsgården. It has a double bed of 180 centimeter and two single beds, and a possibility to add an extra bed for families. There is also room for our four-legged friends (dogs and cats) in this room. The room has windows in two directions with a view of the millpond from the gable window. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. Bathroom with toilet and shower is located two meters away.

Långvinden (named after the stream)
is a room on the upper floor in Kungsgården. It has two extra long beds of 210 centimeters, which can also function as a 180 centimeter wide double bed. There is also room for our four-legged friends (dogs and cats) in this room. The room has windows in two directions with a view of Långvinds ström (Långvind stream) from the gable window. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts – with a special bird profile. The room has bathroom with toilet and shower.

Mellanhammaren (“Central Hammer”)
is a room on the upper floor in Kungsgården. It has three single beds, one after the other. There is also room for our four-legged friends (dogs and cats) in this room. The room has windows in two directions with a view of Långvinds ström (Långvind stream) from the gable window. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts – with elements of adventure and explorers. The room has bathroom with toilet and shower.

Smedjan (“Smithy”)
is a room on the ground floor in Kungsgården. The room has a double bed of 140 centimeters. There is also room for our four-legged friends (dogs and cats) in this room. It has windows in two directions with a view of the millpond from the large balcony window. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. The room has access to a toilet on the ground floor and shower upstairs.

Landsvägen (“Country Road”)
is a room on the upper floor in Österhuset. It has a double bed of 130 centimeters and window with a view of the stream. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. Bathroom with toilet and shower is located two meters away.

Lindallén (“Lind Avenue”)
is a room on the upper floor in Österhuset. It has two single beds and large windows towards the lind avenue leading to the central parts of the ironworks. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. The room has bathroom with toilet and shower.

Milstenen (“Milestone”)
is a room on the upper floor in Österhuset. It has a double bed of 140 centimeter and one single bed, and a possibility to add an extra bed for families. It has a large windows towards the lind avenue leading to the central parts of the ironworks and another window facing the stream. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. The room has bathroom with toilet and shower.

Strömmen (”Stream”)
is a room on the ground floor in Österhuset. It has two single beds. It has a window facing the stream and another towards the lind avenue leading to the central parts of the ironworks. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. The room has bathroom with toilet and shower.

Åkroken (“Stream Bend”)
is a room on the upper floor in Österhuset. It has two single beds and two large windows facing Långvinds ström (stream) and the bend it makes upstreams. Like the other rooms, this room has armchair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. The room has bathroom with toilet and shower.

Telestation Långvind (”Telecommunications exchange house”)
is a small building (living area: 4.44 square meters) with a large, private terrace. This former telecommunications exchange house of Långvind, which was in use until 2011, is located between Österhuset and Långvinds ström (stream). It has two windows, one facing the stream and one Kungsgården. It has one single bed – and a complete kitchenette. Like the other rooms, this room has chair, television and artistic decoration in the form of old maps and arts. Bathroom with toilet and shower is located in Österhuset, a few meters away.

All rooms – with some exeptions for Telestation Långvind – have large windows, most of them in two directions, luxury box-spring beds, wardrobe, full-length mirror, hair dryer, dresser, desk, comfortable armchairs, large flat-screen TV, free fiber optic Internet connection with both wired and wireless broadband, mosquito windows and large fan for hot summer days, view of Långvinds ström or other surroundings, and a personal decor and atmosphere with art, old maps and handicrafts.

Bathroom for the four hostel rooms are located upstairs in Kungsgården and Österhuset. Both are fresh, have great showers and toilets. There’s a separate toilet on Kungsgården’s ground floor.

Bathrooms and toilets are characterized by our environmental profile, with reusable towels of terry cloth instead of disposable paper towels and eco-labeld soap and chemicals.

Bruket kokBruket (“The mill”) is the bright living room on the upper floor in Kungsgården, which is also one of three guest kitchens.

Österbruket (“Eastern mill”) is the bright living room on the ground floor in Österhuset, which is also one of three guest kitchens.

Österköket (“Eastern kitchen”) is the small kitchen on the upper floor in Österhuset, one of three guest kitchens.

The three kitchens have a dining area with a fully equipped kitchenette, including refrigerator and freezer, hob and microwave, kettle and capsule coffee maker, and dishwasher (not in Bruket). The dining table can accommodate up to five people in Bruket and Österbruket, and two people in Österköket. The kitchens are well equipped – if something is missing, tell us and we‘ll do our best to fix it!

All guests have free access
to Bruket sittgruppcoffee maker,  brewed tea and cookies.

We also offer various board games, magazines and books, with something to suit everyone, in the two large kitchens.

Salen (“The hall”) is the restaurant on the ground floor i Kungsgården, with a ceiling 5.3 meters high and a background wall with hand-hewn, many centuries old, logs.

The room has exposed beams and a fireplace.

The eastern end of the room has a high “church window”, which along with the windows on the long side give the room a lovely light.

The restaurant seats 13 people.

The room also has a cozy sitting area by the fireplace.

The room houses a library of fiction and CD-movies, which guests can borrow. All guests are welcome to use this room.
